Relationscapes: Framing, Herbert Read Gallery, University for the Creative Arts, Canterbury, 20th November – 12th December 2025

Relationscapes* is a co-curated project between artist Lola Bezemer and artist/ researcher Greig Burgoyne and encompasses two exhibitions featuring performance artists from across Europe who engage in varying conceptualisations around boundaries. This first iteration, Relationscapes: Framing, focuses on film, print and moving image-basedworks. In January 2026, opening in The Netherlands Relationscapes: Encounters will see the artists presentinstallations and live performances.

Maja Zećo [maya zecho], originally from Sarajevo and now based in Scotland works across performance art, sound, and moving image. Her practice is often site-specific and relational, negotiating personal and group narratives of identity and history. She has exhibited internationally. In 2019 Maja obtained a PhD in fine art, on sound and performance art practice, based at Gray’s School of Art (RGU) with the support of the Sonic Arts Programme at the University of Aberdeen.
